SL FU 110: Across Montaña de Los Faros

An insight into the hike:
SL FU 110 crosses Fuencaliente’s wooded uplands on a compact line. From the western forest road at Montaña de Los Faros it passes through open Canary pine forest to Pista General del Este. Volcanic grit, pine needles and small clearings shape the scene, with occasional views across the Cumbre slopes in clear air.
At 3.1 kilometres, 78 metres up and 168 down, the route remains manageable. It crosses SL FU 111 towards Volcán Martín and Fuente de El Tión, making it both a short woodland walk and a useful link for longer combinations in the island’s south.
The path is rated easy and, in suitable conditions, can work for families and older walkers. It is still a natural mountain trail: rain can make needles and volcanic soil slippery, while mist complicates orientation on the forest roads.
SL FU 110 finishes on the opposite side of the ridge, so pickup, return or an onward trail must be settled beforehand. With the logistics arranged, it offers a calm alternative to the better-known volcanic sights. Sunhikes provides the full line, junctions and current advice.
