Villa Pura Vida – a stylish architect-designed villa on La Palma, perched on a small rocky outcrop within the exclusive Refugio del Mar in Puntagorda, at around 380 m altitude – featuring a heated infinity saltwater pool, spacious terraces, modern design and an unrivalled panoramic view of the sea and the mountains to the east.
This modern holiday villa combines Canarian elements with minimalist elegance in absolute seclusion – surrounded by tropical gardens, palm trees and olive groves. The Refugio del Mar stands for sustainability, privacy and premium amenities. Three individually designed houses – Villa Pura Vida, Villa Perla del Mar and Finca Palomar – share this expansive estate with solar power, EV charging station, olive oil production and a water filtration system.
Inside, the villa impresses with light-filled rooms, a split-level living concept, high-end BOSCH designer kitchen, cosy seating area, wine cooler, liquor bar, smart TV and a large dining table with leather chairs. Four uniquely designed skylights create atmosphere and natural light – two with LED lighting (eastern bedroom and living area), two with openable sunshades (kitchen and western bedroom) – offering stunning views of the sky and stars.
Two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are located in separate wings – ideal for two couples or guests seeking privacy. The luxurious double beds (1.80 × 2 m) are fitted with orthopaedic natural latex mattresses and certified organic bedding. All rooms – even the bathrooms – offer breathtaking sea views. The western bedroom overlooks the pool and the Atlantic.
Several exclusive outdoor areas surround the villa: a lounge area with comfortable furniture and sun loungers by the pool, a dining area with table and bench in front of the eastern bedroom, a small table with two chairs in front of the living room, and another dining area with a gas grill east of the pool. A warm outdoor shower is located below the pool. The entire estate is framed by palm trees, cypresses and Mediterranean plants.
The 10 m infinity pool with saltwater system is solar-assisted heated. Two private parking spaces are located directly in front of the villa. The combination of modern white, warm wooden and natural tones, abundant daylight and high-quality materials creates a unique ambiance.
