At 22:00, the Gran Verbena begins in Plaza de Nuestra Señora de Candelaria. Gigantes y Cabezudos appear during the night, followed eventually by the Diablo. Its exact appearance time is deliberately not announced. The climax traditionally comes during the early hours of Tuesday, 8 September.

The Festivalito – Festival de las Estrellas de La Palma is no ordinary film festival. At its heart is La Palma Rueda: teams receive a secret theme and produce a short film on the island in just a few days. In 2026, the 21st edition focuses on films made in and about the Canary Islands. The main venue is El Paso. Festivalito Sonorama evenings combine film with indie, rock, reggae, soul, funk and electronic music; Sonorama is advertised as free to attend.

The Caballos Fufos are one of Tazacorte's most distinctive traditions. Dancers wear colourful paper horses around their bodies and parade through the town to the song Vuela, vuela palomita – a lively experience that families also enjoy.
