The Mirador del Acantilado del Time is located directly along the historic Camino del Time, an old route connecting the Valle de Aridane with the coast of Tazacorte. In the past, farmers, traders and fishermen used this path to transport goods between the fertile valley and the port of Tazacorte. Parts of the trail are still preserved today and run along the steep cliff on old Canarian stone paving. The path winds its way down to the coast in numerous bends and repeatedly offers impressive views over the valley and the Atlantic. Today, this historic path is a popular hiking route on La Palma. Even the famous Transvulcania marathon follows parts of this historic trail down towards the coast.
