La Palma in February 2026: Los Indianos, Carnival & Winter Sun on the Isla Bonita

La Palma in February 2026 – Carnival, culture & active winter days
February is one of the most vibrant months to travel to La Palma. Mild temperatures, green landscapes and excellent conditions for hiking come together with the colorful carnival and numerous cultural events. Los Indianos – The white carnival

Santa Cruz de La Palma
Los Indianos is the most famous and unique carnival celebration on the island. On Monday,
16 February 2026, Santa Cruz de La Palma turns into a white sea of music,
talcum powder and Caribbean joie de vivre.
The day begins around 10:00 am with the arrival of the legendary La Negra Tomasa at the harbor. From around 12:00 pm, the celebration reaches its peak around the Plaza de España, with a lively atmosphere and talcum powder battles.
Throughout the entire day, people dressed in traditional white suits and dresses, straw hats and nostalgic accessories stroll through the streets of the city. Between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm, the activity is particularly concentrated in the city center. In the evening, concerts, DJs and street parties continue. On this day, the capital welcomes up to 70,000 visitors.

Puntagorda
The Fiesta del Almendro en Flor in Puntagorda marks the transition into February
and celebrates the almond blossom in the northwest of La Palma.

in many regions of La Palma. Especially around 16 February, holiday homes
and rental cars are in high demand.
