Casa Mesigresi – Nature, Comfort and a Touch of Nostalgia in Puntagorda
Discover a hidden gem in Puntagorda: Casa Mesigresi combines sustainability, peace and style – a beautifully renovated retreat surrounded by nature.

Puntagorda, in the northwest of La Palma, greeted us this time from its most beautiful side: just a few clouds, lots of sunshine – and right in the middle, Casa Mesigresi, a stylish holiday home full of history. This lovingly renovated holiday accommodation is nestled in a quiet corner, not far from the village center. From the moment we arrived, we felt: something truly special awaited us here.
A real bonus for relaxation seekers: the pool heating is free to use and operates during the day using solar energy. There is also a wallbox for electric vehicles available at no charge – a service that perfectly combines sustainability and convenience.
The owners led us through the back entrance – past banana plants, avocado trees, and fragrant herbs. During the conversation, we learned that Casa Mesigresi was once a small carpentry workshop, now transformed with great attention to detail into a charming holiday retreat. Beneath a large pine tree, the pool invites you to relax – surrounded by lush, peaceful nature.
Living, dining, and kitchen areas blend openly into one another. The large dining table, the cozy sofa (which also serves as a sofa bed), and a well-stocked bookshelf invite you to linger – if we hadn’t had a photo shoot, we would have happily stayed longer.
A charming extra: a record player with a selection of vinyls – a clear nod to the owners’ musical roots. The bedroom is spacious and offers a variety of pillows to suit every preference. Everything feels carefully arranged and lovingly furnished.
The bathroom surprised us with heated walls in the shower and underfloor heating – ensuring a comfortably warm experience. For accompanying guests or children, there is a separate bedroom with its own toilet located outside. Particularly interesting: a small collection of objects from the owners’ former training in natural health – a personal touch that makes the stay even more memorable.
Flower meadow, pool and sustainable energy
A colorful flower meadow as far as the eye can see – dotted with sun loungers, a Hollywood swing, and cozy seating areas. What impressed us most was the well-thought-out energy concept: a modern solar system supplies the holiday home and the heated pool almost entirely self-sufficiently.A real bonus for relaxation seekers: the pool heating is free to use and operates during the day using solar energy. Old structure, new life – with comfort and character
Entering the house, the tall white-painted gable roof immediately catches the eye – bright, airy, and inviting – complemented by beautiful exposed wooden beams. The spacious kitchen is equipped with high-quality appliances, including a Miele coffee machine – a rare luxury in most holiday homes on La Palma. And the view from the west-facing windows? Simply stunning.Living, dining, and kitchen areas blend openly into one another.
