Live webcam on La Palma – view across the Atlantic Ocean
With the new live webcam on La Palma, Clariso has launched a new project that allows visitors to get a direct view of the island’s current weather and landscape conditions.
The first camera is located at the
Hotel Rural Los Piratas
in
Tijarafe
on the sunny west coast of the island and offers an impressive view across the Atlantic Ocean.
The webcam provides a new image every 60 seconds, giving visitors an almost real-time impression of the weather and lighting conditions on the island.
Particularly fascinating are the spectacular sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean, for which the west coast of La Palma is especially well known.

Webcam review and timelapse of the last 24 hours
In addition to the live image, the Clariso webcam also offers a review of the past 24 hours.
Visitors can scroll through a gallery of previous images and see how the weather and light have changed throughout the day.
A timelapse function is also available. It shows the past hours in fast motion and makes it especially impressive to observe how cloud formations, lighting conditions and sunsets develop over the Atlantic Ocean.
On La Palma, spectacular scenes often arise when the sun slowly sinks into the Atlantic Ocean and colours the sky above the west coast in deep, intense shades.
Many visitors use a webcam on La Palma to check the current weather before heading out on an excursion.
This can be particularly useful because the island has very different microclimates. While places such as
Tijarafe
or
Puntagorda
may be sunny, clouds may temporarily form in the Aridane Valley around
Los Llanos de Aridane
or
El Paso.
For that reason, checking a live webcam is often more useful than relying only on a traditional weather forecast.
More webcams on La Palma
Besides the Clariso webcam, there are several other live cameras on La Palma that show different parts of the island.
These cameras offer views of towns, beaches, viewpoints and well-known excursion destinations on the island.
